Passion. Persistence. Perseverance.

I have never really been a girly girl. When I say that, I don’t mean I’m not feminine, I am, but I like to get stuck into building things and getting my hands dirty. I love to see how things work and how they are made. As a child I would build houses and cars with Lego and watch my Dad fix things around the house, studying exactly what he was doing. Throughout my adult life, I helped rebuild engines in my kitchen, build cars, do engine conversions in my garage, and even zinc plated car parts in my conservatory! I am a professional musician and educator by day and I love it but I’ve always had a desire to be more involved with cars and motorsport.

In my 20s, I bought a car that would change my life; an S1 Lotus Elise. Through this car I made friends with a great number of like-minded people, and through them I developed a love for being on track and competitive motorsport. I would spectate at trackdays, hillclimbs and sprints, often volunteering as a marshall at these events, but deep down I really wanted to be on track driving.

Fast forward a number of years and after returning from some time living and working in the Middle East, I decided to do just that. With the support of my family and friends (both in and out of competitive motorsport) I am following those dreams and grabbing this opportunity with both hands.

Season 2019 will see me racing in the Scottish Fiesta ST Challenge, a new Championship introduced by the Scottish Motor Racing Club aimed to make circuit racing more accessible.

My friend and one of my favourite people, Daryl at Carbon Strength has been tasked with turning me into a racing snake! He works me hard, trying to almost kill me at every single session, but I still genuinely look forward to them and leave with a massive smile on my face, looking forward to the next one again.
